Bloomer Platt was a bodyguard of Ollie Dinsmore a resident of Chester's Mill.
Before The Dome[]
Hardly anything is known about Bloomer's life before the dome came down, except that he was a resident of Chester's Mill. It is possible he was friends with Ollie Dinsmore, due to Boomer agreeing to work for him; Although it is possible this was just to receive propane as payment.
Under the Dome[]
Season 1[]
"Imperfect Circles"[]
Boomer is first seen guarding the storage locker containing Big Jim's propane. Jim is seen to be angry when he arrives and finds Boomer sat in front of it holding a gun, he demands that Boomer allows him to go to his locker and shows the key however Boomer then tells Big Jim that his key wasn't any use; Jim then notices the lock had been broken of the storage unit. Jim then begins to argue with Boomer but he hits him in the stomach with his gun and then slap his across his face knocking him to the ground. Later Big Jim returns while Boomer is filling a truck with the propane tanks, once inside the truck Big Jim fires two shots one missed but the other hit Boomer's truck's gas tank which exploded causing the propane tanks to explode, Boomer was burning to death before he was ultimately killed by the explosion of the truck.
Death[]
After packing several propane canisters into his truck and getting inside it himself Big Jim fired a shot at the gas tank. The gas tank then exploded which caused all the propane to explode, Boomer was briefly burning to death before the whole truck eventually blew up killing him instantly.
