Nicholas Strong is an American actor who portrayed Philip "Phil" Bushey in the first and second seasons of CBS' Under the Dome.


Nicholas Strong was born in Indiana and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where he began performing in local productions in his early teens, developing a love for acting that led him to pursue a Theatre degree at Ball State University. His theater credits from his time at the University include Kennedy Center Honoree “The Laramie Project” and “Sideman.” He was also given the opportunity to showcase his abilities as a dancer when he was cast as Leroy in the musical production of “Fame.” Upon graduating Ball State, Strong spent a summer performing in the Illinois State Shakespeare Festival, appearing in such classics as “Hamlet” and “Two Gentlemen of Verona,” before making the move to Los Angeles.

Once in L.A., Nicholas continued his theatrical work, garnering accolades for his portrayal of Chris in “What Would Jimi Do?” as well as his role in “A Soldier's Play” at the Malibu Stage Company. In addition to his work as an actor, Strong is an accomplished musician, performing as a lead singer, songwriter and rhythm guitar player throughout Los Angeles. After marked success playing and recording with his band, Nicholas was afforded the opportunity to perform in the 2012 NBC Diversity Showcase. His success from the Showcase garnered his television credits including a recurring role on “Nashville” and a guest-starring role on “The Office.” Strong’s film feature credit is the film “Richard III.” Nicholas resides in Los Angeles and his birthdate is May 16. In his spare time he still loves to write and record music.
